Our Academy program needs your support. Below are a variety of ways you can help create unique opportunities for our students throughout the school year.
Mentors- All of the Computer Academy’s juniors are required to have a mentor by the state but we want all of our students to have the opportunity. A mentor can potentially make a huge impact on a student’s life. Someone who agrees to become a mentor would be expected to meet with the student four times per year and maintain email contact. We have opportunities for 1-1 mentorship for our 11th-12th graders and group mentor sessions with our 10th grade students.
Internships- Providing a place for skilled students to learn more about the industry over the summer after their junior year. By then our students will have MOUS certificates and have a command over designing websites, print layouts, and working with video and sound. Our goal is to connect every junior with an entry level position either paid or unpaid. They are eager to learn!
Fieldtrip to Your Site- Allow us to visit your site/company and show us how the business world works. It's a bonus if technology is key to your services and products but any off campus adventure helps keep the students engaged and learning about life after high school.
Guest Speaker- The more informed our students are about job opportunities in the field, the better. Come share your career experience and inspire a youngster to follow in your footsteps.
Cash/In Kind Donations- As a Computer Academy, we strive to build a sense of team, develop leadership skills, and get out into the world. We want to financially support many fieldtrips and events such as…
